Pre-arrival registration: Temporarily paused
The Mozambican National Migration Service (SENAMI) has temporarily suspended the recently introduced pre-registration requirement for travellers from select visa-exempt countries. Originally announced on 24 April 2025, the regulation would have required visitors to submit their information at least 48 hours before arrival.
The pause is effective immediately and is due to technical issues affecting the online registration platform. SENAMI has confirmed that this measure is intended to protect traveller rights while efforts are made to restore and stabilise the system.
At present, no pre-arrival registration is required for citizens of the 29 affected visa-exempt countries. The requirement will be reinstated once the system is fully operational.
Zimbabwe immigration update: Online arrival declaration now available
To streamline the arrival process and enhance the guest experience, the Zimbabwe Immigration Department has introduced a new online immigration declaration form. All travellers entering Zimbabwe — including via Victoria Falls Airport — are encouraged to complete this form prior to travel.
What you need to know:
This digital step forms part of Zimbabwe’s broader efforts to simplify and speed up border procedures, making the arrival process more efficient for guests.

BAC Helicopters transfer to &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve
Guests will be met on arrival at King Shaka International Airport, then transferred by road to the BAC Helicopters helipad in Ballito (approximately a 15-minute drive), where they will board a helicopter flight to &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve. The estimated flight time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on wind conditions.
If weather conditions prevent the helicopter from flying, the only alternative would be a road transfer to Phinda, or a delay until conditions improve.
Please note: The total weight allowance on a helicopter transfer is determined by the number of passengers, individual body weights, refuelling requirements, and other operational factors. In some cases, a separate road transfer for luggage may be necessary.
