The heart of a safari – in addition to the soul-invigorating effect of scenic and spacious landscapes – is undoubtedly the fascinating wildlife that we encounter during our visits to wilderness areas. From the savannas, swamps and deserts of Southern Africa to the endless plains and equatorial forests of East Africa; from the idyllic seascapes of Indian Ocean islands straddling both hemispheres; to snow covered peaks in Asia or South America, a diversity of enigmatic animals exists. Travelling to new places and encountering species we’ve never seen before can inspire an affinity with that animal and awaken a deep hunger to learn more about them and how they fit into the ecosystems where they live. WILDwatch offers you a window into our wild world – before or after you have travelled with us.
