This successful programme – with a first-time student pass rate of 99%, a give-back from the students to their communities, and the security of psycho-social support throughout their studies – recognises those students that show natural leadership qualities, and supports them in their tertiary studies.
For these promising students in rural communities, a CLEF tertiary education bursary is so much more than financial support – it opens the door to a future that would otherwise be totally inaccessible.
These young people become beacons of hope for their families and their communities, mentors to other budding young leaders, and life time ambassadors to other CLEF students.
