&BEYOND Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp Classic Tent upgrade reminder
A reminder that &BEYOND Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp will undergo a partial rebuild from 16 January to 30 April 2025. During this period, the camp’s 12 existing Classic Tents will be redesigned into six brand-new Superior Tents. While the renovations are underway, the camp will remain open and operating as per usual.
We have removed the Classic Tent option from our lodge rate sheet.

We have removed the activities on offer at &BEYOND Ngorongoro Crater Lodge during its closure for refurbishment.

Lake Victoria trip no longer offered at &BEYOND Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge and Serengeti Under Canvas
The Lake Victoria trip is no longer available at &BEYOND Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge and Serengeti Under Canvas as it doesn’t meet the standards of our usual offerings. We have removed the offering from our Tanzania activity sheet as well as has removed the canoeing under our Child Policy on our Tanzania Lodge Accommodation Rate Sheet.

Botswana

Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana departure tax increase
The Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana has increased its departure tax, effective 01 January 2025. This affects all flights departing from Maun or Kasane Airport. All bookings already confirmed in our system will be honoured at the previous rate. However, all new bookings will be subject to the new rate.

Namibia
New flight option available for &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
Wilderness Air has added &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge airstrip to the circuit route and all &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge guests will no longer have to be transferred to/from Geluk airstrip. Geluk airstrip rates has been removed from our lodge rate sheets.

New guide room at &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
Available from 01 March 2025, an additional guide room will be available at &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. This new room is situated in the staff village and is ideal for overland guides travelling with guests.
The rate is based on twin accommodation and includes accommodation, meals, and tea and coffee. The guide occupying this room would be required to have access to his/her own transport in order to travel to the main lodge area for meals.

Rhino conservation experience at Phinda
EXPERIENCE: Your guests can help us ensure the longevity of this wild animal by participating in either a rhino notching or a rhino de-horning experience.
Depending on which research activity is available at the time, your guests will have the opportunity to assist in either a rhino notching or a rhino de-horning.
