The world is opening up and our wonderful guests are starting to travel again. While this is welcome news for the wild places that we support and the animals and people that call them home, it means that we need to do a little readjusting to make sure that we can fully focus on both our real-life guests and our virtual ones.

In order to do this, we have put our &Beyond Connect Virtual Experiences temporarily on hold as we find the right balance to ensure our guides, chefs and wellness practitioners can meet the expectations of all our online and offline guests.

We promise we will do our best to ensure that this is not a final goodbye, but simply a ‘see you later’.

Food. It’s as much a part of the &Beyond experience as our accommodation and adventures. Now you have the opportunity to choose a dish from a seasonal African, Asian or South American menu and have one of our expert chefs talk you through the preparation process via a Zoom link.

This virtual experience is booked on a special request basis (as good things take time to prepare).

Tuck into the delicious Pan-African flavours created by chef Murray Weakley, &Beyond‘s Regional Executive Chef for Botswana, transport yourself to Reinee’s kitchen for mouthwatering and easy-to-make Indian dishes, or enjoy the vibrant Chilean flavours created by Chef Damián Fernández Dupouy, &Beyond Vira Vira’s Executive Chef, in Chile.

The booking entitles you to six (6) links, which you can share with friends, family members or co-workers (with a maximum 2 people per link).

Great for family, friends (suggested 14 and older) or small corporate teams to enjoy. Six (6) links with a maximum of two people per link.

Experiences conducted in English (or Spanish for Damián’s session).

Damián Fernández Dupouy

South American cuisine

Damián Fernández Dupouy is a French-trained executive chef, who brings the &Beyond Vira Vira farm to table concept alive.

Inspired by the different seasons, and always prepared, his cuisine is pure and authentic. All the natural products and ingredients are sourced from our farm or from local providers.

Passionate about cuisine, and committed to the ideal dining experience, Damián and his team create mouth-watering 3-course lunches and 4-course dinners that infuse the delectable flavours of Southern Chile.

Murray Weakley

African cuisine

Having been trained in the Stellenbosch Winelands at the Institute of Culinary Arts, Murray Weakley, the Regional Executive Chef for &Beyond Botswana, believes that every meal should be a celebration of sustainable, locally inspired, wholesome food.

Murray, who has been with &Beyond for a number of years, delights guests by incorporating his classical French techniques into the local food culture. Playful twists on traditional dishes and ingredients is what he is known for.

Asian cuisine

A culinary artist, Reinee has a passion for cooking and is always searching for new ways to fuse different styles into her dishes. From her home in India to your kitchen halfway across the world, she will travel through Zoom and help you cook up a storm for your family to enjoy.

Experience the aroma of Indian spices and flavours while listening to her stories on food experiences and celebrating each other’s unique cultural heritage. With a desire to increase your repertoire, Reinee teaches people in India and abroad how to cook effortlessly with interesting and flavourful food.
