Fly east to Bhadrapur and continue by road into the hills of the Ilam region. From the village of Jaubari, explore temperate Himalayan forests along the Singalila ridgeline. Walk with local trackers through bamboo and mixed woodland, scanning for red panda signs and broader mountain biodiversity.
The Red Panda Outpost operates on a community-based conservation model, linking tourism directly to local livelihoods. Days are structured around forest movement, weather conditions and wildlife patterns.

Return to Kathmandu from the east. In the afternoon, explore Patan’s courtyards and museum collections – a focused immersion in Newari art and architecture before travelling west.

Fly to Nepalgunj and transfer to Bardia National Park. Explore sal forest, grassland and river systems by open-top 4×4 with experienced guides. A full-day safari ventures deeper into the park, while a cultural walk introduces the traditions of the Tharu communities.
Time is also spent exploring different areas of the park at a slower pace, allowing for a deeper understanding of the ecosystem and its wildlife. Evenings may end along the Karnali River as light fades across sandbanks and forest edge.
