Your journey begins in the hidden treasure of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, nestled in the remote northeastern corner of Chobe National Park. Here, you’ll discover a pristine landscape adorned with waterways, lagoons, riverine forests, towering trees, and picturesque palm tree islands. Renowned as one of the premier game-viewing destinations in the region, Linyanti boasts a rich diversity of wildlife, including vast herds of majestic elephant, formidable buffalo, and graceful zebra. Whether you visit during the wet or dry season, you can expect exceptional game viewing, complemented by a remarkable array of bird species.
Your adventure culminates in the untouched wilderness of the Okavango Delta. This remarkable ecosystem constantly evolves in harmony with the ebb and flow of seasonal floodwaters that inundate substantial portions of the Delta. While it remains dry for most of the year, the winter months bring rising floodwaters, transforming the Delta into a labyrinth of marshes, idyllic wooded islands, and shallow lagoons. Along the Delta’s fringes, where land merges seamlessly with water, you’ll witness breeding herds of elephant moving gracefully through shallow channels, the elegant necks of giraffe emerging gradually against the Delta’s skyline, and elusive sitatunga antelope concealed amidst the reeds. Here, you can marvel at the morning antics of African wild dog and try your hand at tiger fishing in the afternoon. As day transitions to night, you’ll slumber beneath the dappled shade of a forest and savour a moonlit dinner beneath the majestic boughs of a colossal baobab tree.

A taste of what to expect
Day 1 to 3: Arrival
Linyanti Wildlife Reserve | Wilderness DumaTau
- Upon arrival at Maun International Airport in Botswana, you will be greeted by a friendly member of our &Beyond team who will assist you to your Mack Air light aircraft flight.
- From here, you, and fellow guests, will be flown to Chobe Airstrip (an approximate 55-minute flight). Your first flight over Botswana’s pristine water wilderness will leave lasting impressions. Keep a look out for hippo in the waterways and elephant amongst the trees.
- Upon arrival at Chobe Airstrip, you will be met by a welcoming Wilderness DumaTau representative who will assist you with your luggage, and drive you to your camp, DumaTau Camp. It is here you will stay for the next two nights.
- Situated along the Savute Channel in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana, DumaTau is a small, luxury tented camp built under a shady grove of mangosteen trees and overlooks a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system.
- Adventures abound at the camp, boasting a diverse array of experiences that encourage guests to explore Botswana’s pristine waterways and landscapes in a vehicle, in a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), and on foot.
- The source of the Savute Channel is close to the camp, and day and night safari game drives up the Savute is one of the highlights of the area.
- Walking safaris and seasonal mokoro excursions are also on offer.
Day 3 to 6
Okavango Delta | &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp
- Enjoy a short game drive to Chobe Airstrip where a Mack Air light aircraft will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Xaranna Airstrip (an approximate 40-minute flight).
- Upon arrival at Xaranna Airstrip, you will be met by a friendly member of the &Beyond team who will assist you with your luggage, and drive you to your next camp, Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp. It is here you will stay for the next three nights.
- Perfectly positioned within an exclusive 25 000-hectare wilderness concession, Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp boasts breathtaking views over a permanent channel of the Okavango Delta. The lodge offers an exclusive experience to discover the wonder and magic of this extraordinary ecosystem, both on land and in the water.
- Spend your days marvelling at the endless beauty of the Okavango Delta.
- Safari game drives, bush walks, and scenic helicopter flights allow you to explore this beautiful area from different perspectives.
- Safari game drives in the Okavango Delta are remote and secluded, with very few other safari vehicles.

Day 6 to 9
Okavango Delta | &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
- Enjoy a short game drive to Xaranna Airstrip where a Mack Air light aircraft will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Chitabe Airstrip (an approximate 15-minute flight).
- Upon arrival at Xaranna Airstrip, you will be met by a friendly member of the &Beyond team who will assist you with your luggage, and drive you to your next camp, Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge It is here you will stay for the next three nights.
- Situated on a permanent channel of the Okavango Delta, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve, your destination is ideally located in an area of golden-grassed floodplains inhabited by a staggering variety of wildlife.
- With exclusive traversing rights over 270 km² of wilderness in a private concession, this site was specifically chosen for its extraordinary beauty and proximity to the game-rich grassy plains.
- Revel in twice-daily daily safari game drives in search of Botswana’s iconic wildlife, including its semi-aquatic antelopes, the elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga antelope.
- Safari game drives in the Okavango Delta are remote and secluded, with very few safari vehicles sharing the private concession.
- Afternoon drives continue into the night, allowing for nocturnal wildlife encounters. Look out for the rarely spotted serval and pangolin or watch the moon reflect off the backs of a family of hippo coming out of the water to graze, turning them into slabs of shining silver.
- Tread in the tracks of the Delta wildlife, breathe in the scent of crushed wild grasses, and feel your senses come alive on a safari walk accompanied by your expert guide and tracker.

Day 9 : Departure
Okavango Delta
- Today is your last day in the Botswana bush. Bid a fond farewell to beautiful Botswana, taking with you all the incredible moments and memories shared.
- Enjoy a shot game drive to Chitabe Airstrip where a Mack Air light aircraft will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Maun International Airport (an approximate 15-minute flight).
- Savour the views as you fly over this wild and water wet for one last time.
