Ivory Lodge boasts magnificent views of the Sabie River, extending onto the open sand banks of the Kruger National Park. The main guest areas include a private lounge, wooden viewing decks, wine cellar, health spa, curio shop and both an indoor and an open-air dining area.
Ivory Lodge is all about elegance, with an aura of sophistication yet simplicity, boldness yet balance, ebony and ivory, perfect harmony, exclusivity, sensitivity and complete privacy. The suites have their own private rim flow plunge pools with magnificent views over the Sabie River, allowing guests to cool down from the hot African sun while watching animals as they quench their thirst a mere stone’s throw away. The pools are lit, so taking a swim in the warm summer evenings is a must!
What we love about Lion Sands Ivory Lodge
- Enjoying the very robust and flavoursome oxtail dish and cool off after a successful day of game viewing with a refreshing glass of homemade iced tea.
- Get even closer to nature with an exciting sleep out in the bush in one of the lodge’s superb treehouses. Guests can choose to go out to the treehouses at sunset or after dinner. If you leave at sunset you can enjoy a delicious picnic hamper in the comfort of the treehouse – you’ll be dropped of by your ranger and radios are supplied in case you want to be picked up at a different time.
