Airy and open, Ecca Lodge is designed to keep the landscape at the centre of every stay. Set within thick vegetation overlooking a secluded valley and dramatic shale cliffs, the lodge feels both tucked away and expansive.
Each of the six suites opens onto wraparound wooden decks with private plunge pools and outdoor showers, encouraging time spent immersed in the wilderness. Indoors, the mood is calm and considered – super-king beds, generous lounge areas and spacious bathrooms create a sense of ease from the moment you arrive. At 78 m² (840 square feet), the suites offer generous proportions without losing intimacy.
Ecca’s unique structure allows guests to shape their safari experience. Three Private Vehicle Suites include a dedicated vehicle, guide and tracker for a fully exclusive stay, while three Luxury Safari Double Suites share a vehicle and guide, offering a more social rhythm to the day. Families are welcomed, child-minding is available, and the lodge layout encourages both independence and togetherness.
The main lodge’s expansive decks and rim-flow lap pool look out across the valley, providing a natural gathering space between game drives. Twice-daily safaris explore 30,000 hectares (74,131 acres) of private reserve, while bush walks, fishing and specialist experiences deepen the connection to place. Ecca Lodge offers a safari that is flexible, contemporary and grounded in the landscape that surrounds it.
