Respectfully borrowing from the Kenyan tradition of grouping rooms to house multigenerational families, Arijiju Retreat is a private sole-use house, comprises three suites in the main house and two spacious separate cottages, each featuring copper bathtubs and outdoor showers. As for the main living and dining areas, look forward to an abundance of natural-light flooding through vast arched windows, complemented by raw stone and wooden accents, complete with open fires. A celebration of family, the cinema room is ideal for time spent together watching a good movie, while the games rooms is well-appointed with a wide selection of board games, suitable for all ages.
Relishing in local, farm-to-table cuisine, enjoy homemade granola and pressed juices on the veranda while keeping an eye out for passing game, as well as a combination of healthy, farm-reared and organic dishes expertly curated by your in-house chef. The indulgent 19 m (65 ft) infinity swimming pool, often also enjoyed by elephants to quench their thirst, offers the ideal respite after a warm Kenyan day’s adventure.
Complete with a private spa therapist and yoga instructor, Arijiju Retreat is exactly as its name suggests; an African haven. Up to six treatments per day are included with the house.
