The essence of a game drive at Tswalu

Embark on captivating game drives in open safari vehicles through Tswalu Kalahari seeking out iconic wildlife, and rarely seen unique species. Along the journey your knowledgeable guide and tracker will engage you with information about the fascinating Kalahari ecology. A diverse habitat inhabited by over 80 species of mammal and 240 colourful birdlife, ensures spectacular game viewing. Get up close to wildlife on the reserve and enjoy the exclusive opportunity to spend as much time at you wish at any sighting. There are no other safari vehicles and no off-limit areas. Come across white rhino, zebra and giraffe and the Kalahari antelope including gemsbok, springbok, red hartebeest and eland. Look out for rarely spotted tsessebe, Hartmann mountain zebra and the desert black rhino. Capture sightings of dynamic predators and observe cheetah slinking through the grasslands, spotted hyena and wild dog roaming in packs. Delight in habituated meerkats that are familiar with humans, and trust their approach. Look out for lynx, small spotted genet, and honey badgers on the open grasslands. In winter time pangolins and aardvark are easily found as they emerge from their burrows to forage for ants and termites.

If you prefer exclusivity, you can tailor-make your own private safari experience with your own vehicle, guide and tracker.
