Cradled on the edge of a rare sand forest in the north of &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve, &Beyond Phinda Homestead is a sole-use villa designed for complete ease and quiet confidence. Here, your dedicated team—ranger, tracker, chef, butler and host—shapes every moment around your pace and preferences.
Spacious interiors blend contemporary elegance with the warmth of a family home. An interactive kitchen invites shared stories over every meal. Between game drives, the private gym, spa and pool offer space to unwind, while four ensuite bedrooms open to views worth waking early for. Encircled by 29,866 hectares (73,800 acres) of protected wilderness, rich in cheetah, black rhino and Big Five encounters, this is where the rare roam and the well-travelled rest.
Private traversing across seven unique habitats allows rare access to Africa’s Big Five and other elusive species in seclusion.
Phinda’s conservation focus makes it one of the best places in Africa to encounter both cheetah and endangered black rhino.
With a full team at your side and no shared spaces, everything from mealtimes to game drives is entirely up to you. This is your home, after all.
Track wildlife on foot, join conservation efforts, connect with local communities, or swap the bush for the sea. Travel well. Leave better.
It was at Phinda that &Beyond’s Care of the Land, Wildlife and People impact vision
was tested and shaped. Here, 29 866 ha (73 800 acres) of farming land was reclaimed for wildlife, including
790 hectares of critically endangered ancient sand forest. Cheetah, rhino and pangolin are actively
protected, with more than 30 years of pioneering wildlife victories behind us.
Along with Wild Impact, the reserve works closely with neighbouring communities,
employing locally and investing in community education and welfare.
Sustainability practices are a daily priority and include the elimination of plastic bottles
and a focus on energy-saving initiatives.
