Nestled in the Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu itself is Nepal’s capital and most populous city. The valley also encompasses several historic sister cities, including Patan, Kirtipur, Thimi, and Bhaktapur, offering a glimpse into traditional life alongside modern development.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, an &Beyond representative will be waiting to greet you. They will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to the Dwarika’s Hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a captivating full-day city tour of Kathmandu.
Begin your day’s journey with a morning tour of Bhaktapur, aptly nicknamed the ‘City of Devotees’, ‘City of Culture’, ‘Living Heritage’, and ‘Nepal’s Cultural Gem’. In the afternoon, your exploration continues with visits to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.
Bhaktapur: As one of the three ancient royal cities within the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur boasts a wealth of monuments. Imagine intricate terracotta structures adorned with carved wooden columns, alongside magnificent palaces and temples featuring elaborate carvings, gilded roofs, and serene open courtyards. Bhaktapur’s rich heritage stems from its position along the historical trade route connecting India and Tibet. The city is partly embraced by mountains, offering a breathtaking vista of the Himalaya.
Pashupatinath Temple: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most significant Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River in eastern Kathmandu, the temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath.
Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath Stupa reigns as the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet itself. This centre of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu is steeped in rich Buddhist symbolism.
Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Ghandruk
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Kathmandu’s domestic airport for your flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your trekking guides and porters who will transfer you to your starting point (approximately 1-hour).
Begin your walking adventure trekking through the Modi River Valley, passing through charming hamlets and terraced rice fields. As you ascend towards the mountains, enjoy breathtaking views of the valley below. Your journey will take you through lush forests, with plenty of time for rest and refreshment. A delicious lunch awaits you at Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Ghandruk, where you can fully appreciate the magnificent mountain vistas and will be spending the night.
Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Majhgaon
After breakfast, head out on a leisurely descent through the charming village of Ghandruk. Immerse yourself in local life as you encounter grazing buffaloes, goats, and the colourful donkey and mule trains that serve the Gurkha settlements. Share the trail with fellow trekkers making their way up or down the Sanctuary. Your journey continues for approximately 2 – 3 hours until you reach Shauli Bazaar, followed by a final 3-hour trek to your lodge for the evening, Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Majhgaon.
Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Dhampus
Today, you’ll embark on a morning trek through the pristine village of Patlekhet. Your journey takes you through enchanting subtropical forests, where tree orchids, rhododendrons, and magnolias flourish. Pause in the vibrant village of Pothana, renowned for its Tibetan traders and unique souvenirs. After approximately 3.5 hours, you’ll arrive at Mountain Lodges of Nepal, Dhampus, where you’ll spend the night. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge, followed by an optional leisurely stroll through the charming old village with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range.
Hotel Barahi
Following breakfast at the lodge, start your day’s trek along the ridge, descending through lush woodlands and terraced farmland to the valley floor (1,000 m / 3,300 ft). This portion of the hike will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Enjoy a short 30-minute drive to Pokhara, where you’ll check in to the luxurious Hotel Barahi. Immerse yourself in breathtaking views of the Annapurna Himalaya and serene Phewa Lake, while enjoying easy access to the vibrant lakeside atmosphere. Located just steps from Phewa Lake and a convenient 3 km (1.8 mi) from Pokhara Domestic Airport, Hotel Barahi offers unparalleled comfort and convenience.
Seti River Camp
After a hearty breakfast, head out on a scenic two-hour drive to Damauli, the starting point for your whitewater rafting adventure. Upon arrival, participate in a safety briefing before hitting the water for an initial two-hour rafting session to practice boat skills on gentle rapids. Enjoy a delicious lunch by the river before tackling the excitement of Grade II+ and III rapids for the next three hours. Conclude your exhilarating day near Saranghat, where you’ll savour dinner at the Seti River Camp.
Start your day with a wake-up call accompanied by tea or coffee before enjoying a delicious breakfast. Embark on an optional morning hike to the nearby village of Dharampani for a glimpse of local life. Return to camp to prepare for an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure. Navigate through stunning scenery as you conquer thrilling Grade II and III rapids, interspersed with opportunities for refreshing swims and leisurely drifts. After approximately two hours on the water, enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to the river for another one to two hours of rafting, culminating in the challenging Grade III rapids before merging with the Trishuli River. Depending on water levels, you’ll disembark at Gaighat, Jugedi, or Dev Ghat. After changing into dry clothes, journey to Chitwan National Park by vehicle.
Arrive at the luxurious Meghauli Serai, a stunning oasis nestled on the banks of the Rapti River, offering breathtaking views of Chitwan National Park. This afternoon, your first safari awaits, kicking off your three-night stay at Meghauli Serai.

Embark on thrilling Jeep safaris through the national park, encounter local life on village tours, or glide through tranquil waters on a canoeing adventure. Your wildlife adventure concludes with a leisurely morning. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Kathmandu.
