Day 1 and 2: Arrival
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
- Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a Menzies Aviation representative and assisted through customs and immigration. You will then be assisted with check in procedures for your onward flight.
- Upon arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport you will be met by an &Beyond representative and be driven by private vehicle to your hotel.
- Become captivated by Victoria Falls, one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles and the stuff of legends, romance, and myth for the next couple days.
- Thrill yourself with the memorable opportunity to explore the breathtaking rainforest that surrounds the majestic Victoria Falls on a private tour. This adventure begins at the Victoria Falls Map Room where your guide will divulge the fascinating history, layout, and geology of the falls. Afterwards, make your way on foot to the David Livingstone Statue and then onwards through the flourishing rainforest to the beautiful viewpoints of Cataract View, Devils Cataract, the main falls and then lastly to the Eastern Cataract.
- Revel on a sundowner luxury cruise, sailing upstream to celebrate the setting African sun. Share in the end-of-day ritual which sees wild herds streaming to the riverbanks for their last drink. Flocks of bird skim the waterline as the sun sets behind the African skyline. Make sure to bring your camera to create your own golden memories.
Day 3 to 5
Okovango Delta, Botswana
- You will be collected by a friendly &Beyond representative from your hotel and be driven by private vehicle to Kasane International Airport. Your transfer involves clearing customs and immigration formalities at both the Botswana and Zimbabwe border posts.
- Upon arrival at Kasane International Airport you will be greeted by an &Beyond team member who will assist you onto a Mack Air light aircraft. From here, you and fellow guests will be flown to the Okavango Delta.
- Enjoy the beautiful views as you fly over mopane veld which soon reach the breathtaking waterways of the Okavango Delta (an approximate 80-minute flight).
- Reawaken your soul during your three-night stay in the Okavango Delta. Enjoy twice-daily safari game drives, discovering the thrilling wildlife diversity of this unique region. The varied landscape also lends itself to a wealth of bird species. Explore the lush delta oasis with crystal clear lagoons and channels, reeded islands, and fertile floodplains.
- Examine the often-overlooked aspects of the natural world and unravel its marvellous intricacies and simple truths on a guided nature walk. Tread in the tracks of the delta wildlife, breathe in the scent of crushed wild grasses, and feel your senses come alive, free from the constraints of roads and vehicles. Observe and learn as your guide expertly interprets the signs and sounds of the bush.
Day 6 to 8
Cape Town, South Africa
- Relish a delicious breakfast and enjoy a short game drive to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Maun International Airport and onto your scheduled flight to Cape Town International Airport.
- Savour the views of the sparkling lagoons and palm tree islands as you fly over this water wonderland for one last time (an approximate 15-minute flight).
- Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a Menzies Aviation representative and assisted through customs and immigration. You will then be met by a member from the &Beyond team who will drive you to your hotel.
- As you drive toward the city, your view from afar will be Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual places on earth, with its heart, two oceans and the beautiful city of Cape Town at its feet.
- Explore the sights during your three-night stay in the Mother City. Quintessentially modern and cosmopolitan, enjoy gourmet restaurants, a trendy nightlife, and a thriving café culture, combined with natural wonders ranging from miles and miles of beautiful beaches to the renowned Cape Winelands and iconic Table Mountain.
- Recommended city experiences include a half-day city and Table Mountain tour and a full-day private Cape Point tour.
Cape Town city and Table Mountain tour (half day)
Begin this scenic tour of Cape Town at iconic Table Mountain or, if the weather is not favourable, at the flat-topped mound known as Signal Hill. Browse vibrant Greenmarket Square, one of the city’s oldest markets, and take a walk-through Company Gardens, established by Dutch settlers in 1652. Drive past the Houses of Parliament and the historical Castle of Good Hope, as well as the Slave Lodge, which used to house thousands of slaves belonging to the Dutch East India Company. The tour ends at the traditional Malay Quarter in the predominantly Muslim Bo-Kaap, with its brightly coloured houses dating back as far as the 17th century. Pause to listen to the firing of the noonday gun from Signal Hill as your adventure comes to an end.
Private Cape point tour (full day)
This full-day tour takes in the scenic highlights of the Cape Peninsula, beginning at the spectacular coastal suburb of Hout Bay, a former fishing village with a long, sandy beach facing a bay framed by the mountains. Explore the restaurants, shops and markets of Mariner’s Wharf, a harbour-front emporium with a distinct maritime ambiance. Depending on whether the road is open, the tour will continue along the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive before heading to the Cape of Good Hope to explore the nature reserve, see the Diaz Cross and perhaps even indulge in lunch at a local restaurant. From here you will travel to Simon’s Town, famous for its naval military base, and then visit the charming penguin colony at Boulders Beach. The tour ends at the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set against the eastern slopes of spectacular Table Mountain.
Day 9: Departure
Cape Town, South Africa
- Wave a fond farewell as your incredible cross-country getaway comes to an end.
- After breakfast, you will be driven from your hotel to Cape Town International Airport in time for your onward arrangements.
