Discover the vast beauty of Botswana’s famous Chobe National Park, boasting the biggest concentration of elephant in Africa. Enjoy adventures including exceptional game drives, river cruises, excellent bird-watching and breathtaking photographic opportunities.
Explore the Linyanti Swamp, a remote and wild corner of Chobe National Park, which boasts a great diversity of game. It boasts large concentrations of elephant, lion, sable, roan, hippo, and African wild dog, building to a peak in the dry winter months. The area also offers spectacular birding year-round and is best known for its enormous herds of elephant which move down to the Linyanti River at the start of the winter months and only move back inland once the main rains arrive.
Your journey ends in the pristine Okavango Delta. Known as ‘the river that never finds the sea’, crystal clear channels spread over the thirstlands of the Kalahari with their papyrus-fringed banks and fertile floating islands. Keep your camera ready for sightings of elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga that are found in this watery wilderness. Marvel at lion, cheetah, leopard, and African wild dog that share the floodplains with large herds of elephant and buffalo.

A taste of what to expect
Day 1 & 2: Arrival
Chobe National Park, Botswana
- Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge
- Upon arrival at Kasane International Airport, you will make your own way to the arrivals hall where you will be welcomed by an &Beyond team member. You will then be collected and driven, with fellow guests, to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero where you will be staying for the next two nights.
- Enjoy captivating game drives with spectacular game viewing opportunities.
- Take an evening cruise on the Chobe River and marvel at breathtaking sunsets.
Day 3 to 5
Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana
- Wilderness DumaTau
- You will be collected from Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero and be driven with fellow guests to Kasane International Airport.
- Upon arrival you will be greeted by a member from the &Beyond team who will assist you onto a light aircraft.
- From here, you, and fellow guests, will be flown to Chobe Airstrip (an approximate 55-minute flight). Your first flight over Botswana’s pristine water wilderness will leave lasting impressions. Keep a look out for hippo in the waterways and elephant amongst the trees.
- Upon arrival at Chobe Airstrip, you will be met by a Wilderness DumaTaurepresentative who will assist you with your luggage, and drive you to your camp, DumaTau Camp. It is here you will stay for the next two nights.
- Situated along the Savute Channel in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana, DumaTau is a small, luxury tented camp built under a shady grove of mangosteen trees and overlooks a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system.
- Adventures abound at the camp, boasting a diverse array of experiences that encourage guests to explore Botswana’s pristine waterways and landscapes in a vehicle, in a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), and on foot.
- The source of the Savute Channel is close to the camp, and day and night safari game drives up the Savute is one of the highlights of the area.
- Walking safaris and seasonal mokoro excursions are also on offer.
Day 6 to 8
Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana
Wilderness Mombo Camp
- Enjoy a short game drive to Chobe Airstrip for your flight to Mombo Airstrip.
- Discover the wildlife of Chief’s Island during your three-night stay at Mombo Camp.
- Built under large, shady trees and overlooking the floodplains which teem with wildlife all year round; Mombo Camp offers awe-inspiring views of the Okavango Delta.
- Twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles allow the opportunity to view incredible wildlife ranging from large herds of elephant, zebra and buffalo to lion, leopard, African wild dog, spotted hyena, cheetah, and other stealthy predators.
- Relax in your private thatched sala with your favourite drink and watch the passing game.
- After an exhilarating day out in the African sunshine, why not treat yourself to a soothing massage treatment in the privacy and comfort of your own tent.
Day 9: Departure
Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana
- After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive to Mombo Airstrip for your flight to Maun International Airport for your onward arrangements.
