That thing about youth and enthusiasm
On our last morning, our ranger, Declan and tracker, Menzi, wanted to make sure we could get one last sighting of our favourite animals on Phinda: two cheetah cubs. After 45 minutes of following fresh tracks and looking for movement, Menzi got a small glimpse of the mother’s ear from a distance and from there, was able to provide us with the amazing chance to observe this family waking up. Both cheetah cubs had so much energy and played with each other and their mother for at least 30 minutes straight, pouncing on everything in sight. It was the perfect end to our time in the bush.
