Tucked away in the heart of the historic Barranco district, Hotel B was Lima’s first art boutique hotel. Romantic and exclusive, the hotel draws its inspiration from the Bohemian atmosphere of the surrounding district and exhibits works by contemporary Latin American and Peruvian artists. This summer pavilion dates back to the Belle Époque and features a stylish mix of marble, exotic woods, a beautifully columned white façade, open balconies and sky-high ceilings lit by skylights in the roofs. The hotel’s 17 ensuite rooms are each individually designed to express their own charming idiosyncrasies. Along with hardwood floors, wooden beams, soft, plush fabrics and a glass and marble bathroom, guests can expect a mountainous bed, beautiful artwork and a welcoming glass of Champagne.
The hotel’s signature restaurant features eye-catching artwork that complements the decadent meals on the menu created by celebrated Peruvian chef Oscar Velarde. While tea and delicate finger sandwiches are served every afternoon in the charismatic library. When not appreciating the hotel’s remarkable cuisine and art, guests can enjoy exploring the stunning parks, museums, churches and galleries that give the surrounding area its rich personality.
