Ultramarine
The newest ship in the Quark Expeditions fleet, Ultramarine is designed to go far beyond the familiar in Antarctic wilderness exploration. Offering explorers an once-in-a-lifetime experience, the 128 m (420 ft) vessel seeks to sail the unknown, navigating uncharted waters for an immersive and imaginative polar adventure. With a cruising speed of 16 knots, in open water, look forward to effortlessly traversing oceans others can only dream about. An early wake-up call may signal the sighting of nearby whales, while an afternoon Zodiac cruise may showcase passing icebergs.
Well-appointed with all the necessary ocean-exploring luxuries, Ultramarine is equipped to host 199 guests, in 102 spacious cabins across nine suite categories, including six solo suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and the largest entry-level twin suites of its class. Meticulously designed and furnished, expect to feel inspired and connected to the breathtaking polar landscapes beyond, all from the comfort of your suite. Each suite also boasts a private bathroom, with a shower and heated floors.
While on board ensure to make use of the ship’s state-of-the-art Ambassador Theatre, library, lounge and bar area, one of two restaurants (Balena Restaurant and Bistro 487), as well as Tundra Spa and Sauna, and fitness centre.
