Located on the only private wilderness concession in Mana Pools National Park, the intimate Kanga Bush Camp overlooks a busy waterhole. Each of the six ensuite Meru-style safari tents boasts a comfortable bed, hot bucket shower and flush w.c. The tent’s private veranda is the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch the activity at the busy waterhole. The guest lounge and dining areas are on a raised observation deck that enjoys the shade of some large trees, and guests can also enjoy a refreshing dip in the splash pool.
Guests enjoy twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles and interpretive bush walks, where they can learn to track wildlife with a professional guide. Canoeing safaris on the Zambezi River can also be organised in advance, as well as full-day excursions to River complete with hearty picnic lunches.
What we love about Kanga Camp
- Opt for a romantic dinner or afternoon lunch for two on your private veranda.
- Delight in a walking safari — with no other properties on the concession, it’s your own personal Africa!
- The “Kanga Under the Stars” experience is a must — sleep out on an open platform under the starry African night sky.
