A spectacular private safari home, Chongwe River House sleeps eight in four spacious ensuite bedrooms. Situated on the banks of the Chongwe River, the home boasts a sensational view of the dramatic escarpment beyond. Following the natural lines of the riverbank, Chongwe is inspired by the towering shapes of termite hills and blends into perfectly into its setting. Nature has been brought into the house, with tree trunks, lianas and branches incorporated into the main guest areas and softly coloured pebbles from the Chonge River set into the ceilings. The rooms are open to the river, with generous bedrooms and bathrooms that feature innovative waterfall or rainfall showers. A large private swimming pool and shady deck set beneath a spreading winterthorn trees also look out onto the magnificent panorama of the Zambezi escarpment.
Chongwe House comes fully staffed with a guide, house manager and private chef, allowing guests to set their own pace for their safari. A private vehicle, canoe, boat and armed scout for walking safaris enable guests to choose from a number of ways to explore the beautiful surroundings
