Private and exclusive, Kiba Point Selous is the ideal wilderness retreat for small groups of family or friends. Set in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve, Kiba Point has just four quaint rooms nestled among the trees and looking out over the river. Open fronts maximise the river views, while private plunge pools set into the edge of the decks provide an exclusive place to cool off from the afternoon heat. Guests can also choose between indoor and al fresco showers. The main camp offers a shady thatched dining area, as well as a variety of areas from which guests can watch the river flowing by, from a large lodge pool to deep and inviting armchairs set in a cool lounge.
With a dedicated team of guides and staff, guests at Kiba Point are invited to spend the days entirely at their own leisure. Choose to head out into the bush whenever you want, either on foot, by boat or by vehicle. Elect to spend the entire day out and enjoy an open-air breakfast on a sand bank or a picnic lunch in the deep shade of palm trees.
What we love about Kiba Point Selous
- Ask your guide to take you fishing in the nearby river and get the chef to prepare your catch for dinner.
- When at a wildlife sighting, hop down from the game vehicle at your guide’s instruction and quietly work your way into a good position on foot.
