African Environments utilised years of expertise, as well as the best quality mountain equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable Kilimanjaro climb. Nights are spent in hi-tech dome tents that provide warm and waterproof shelter from even the most adverse weather conditions. Meals are served in a storm-proof heavy duty mess tent, equipped with comfortable tables and stools where climbers can socialise in off times or take shelter from the weather.
Overnight camps are set up and broken down by an experienced camp crew, ensuring that climbers are greeted with a warm drink and a dry tent at the end of each day’s hike. Portable chemical toilets are provided for the hiker’s comfort throughout the climb. Meals are carefully balanced to provide the requirements for each day’s activities, with plenty of hot, fresh soups and snacks.
What we love about African Environments
- Porters carry each climber’s personal gear, ensuring that each hiker has nothing to worry about other than summiting.
- Three-man tents are used for each pair of hikers, ensuring a comfortable and spacious night’s rest.
- Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available throughout the hike to help with hydration and the energy burnt.
