Set in the private 37 000 hectare (91 400 acre) Kulula Wilderness Reserve, Little Kulala features eleven thatched “kulalas” that merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape. Each unit boasts exquisite fittings and fixtures, as well as an innovative bleach deck, each with a private plunge pool. A rooftop ‘skybed’ accessed by an internal staircase, is ideal for romantic stargazing.
The lodge’s elegant entertainment area offers a library, wine cellar, craft boutique, lounge and dining area, all set beneath thatch. Neutral colours, tactile textures and the careful use of natural light reproduce the soothing pastel tones of the desert. Cool, serene and sheltering, the lodge is a natural oasis in the midst of the stark desert beauty. Activities include early morning guided nature drives to Sossusvlei, as well as nature drives and walks in the private reserve. Early morning ballooning and scenic helicopter flights are available at an additional cost.

- Slipping into your bedroll on your private star gazing platform to sleep under the stars.
- Sundowners on the wrap-around veranda, which overlooks a nearby waterhole.
