Desert Homestead Outpost sits in a wide valley sheltered by the Nubib, Tsaris and Naukluft Mountains. The setting is open and expansive, with panoramic views across the plains and into the dramatic desert beyond.
The lodge is made up of 20 large thatched stone chalets, connected by sandy pathways. Each chalet is simply and stylishly decorated in natural tones, with an en suite bathroom and private veranda overlooking the wide-open landscape.
The main lodge includes a glass-fronted lounge and spacious veranda, both designed for long desert views. Days can be shaped around horse riding, guided walks, sundowner drives, scenic flights, ballooning or quad biking, before returning to candlelit dinners, clear skies and the quiet of the desert at night.
