Sitting in a wide grassy valley, sheltered by the Nubib, Tsaris and Naukluft Mountains, the Desert Homestead Outpost offers panoramic views of the dramatic landscapes of the Namib Desert. This cosy lodge is made up of a long row of 20 large, thatched stone chalets connected by sandy pathways. Simply, yet stylishly decorated in natural tones, the ensuite chalets each have a private veranda overlooking the beautiful, wide-open plains.
Guests can also enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding desert through the large glass windows of the lodge’s main lounge and its spacious adjacent veranda. Deliciously fresh, farm-style food is served by candlelight in the romantic indoor dining room or outside, on the wide veranda, under a blanket of countless stars. Horse-riding adventures in the desert, sundowner drives, guided walks and excursions, ballooning, scenic flights, and quad biking are just some of the activities available at the lodge. Or guests can choose to simply sit by the sparkling pool and soak in the tranquility of the vast, ancient desert.
