Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp sits in one of Namibia’s most remote and striking landscapes, surrounded by rugged hills and the stark beauty of the Kaokoveld. Though the setting feels spare and elemental, the wildlife experience can be surprisingly rich.
The camp has seven twin-bedded tents and one family unit, each with an en suite bedroom and shaded outdoor deck. The style is clean, comfortable and quietly contemporary, with views that keep the landscape close throughout the day.
Days are spent exploring the desert in search of Hartmann’s mountain zebra, giraffe, gemsbok, springbok, kudu and desert-adapted elephant, with the possibility of lion, leopard and cheetah. On three-night stays, guests can also access the Skeleton Coast, including seals, shipwreck remains, Möwe Bay and a return flight between the coast and camp.
