Ongava Tented Camp sits within a private reserve bordering Etosha, offering a more traditional safari experience shaped by canvas, open air and close connection to the surrounding bush. The setting is quiet and elemental, with wildlife frequently moving through the wider Ongava landscape.
The tents are simple yet comfortable, each raised on wooden decks with en suite bathrooms and private verandas that open onto the bush. The design keeps focus on the experience outside, where light, sound and movement define the day.
The main area is open and relaxed, with a dining space, lounge and viewing deck overlooking the waterhole. Guests enjoy twice-daily game drives into Ongava and Etosha, with opportunities to encounter rhino, elephant, lion and a wide range of plains game. Between drives, the camp offers a slower rhythm of stillness, shade and wildlife viewing close to camp. Evenings are shaped by shared meals, firelight and the sounds of the bush carrying into the night.
