Sanctuary Chief’s Camp sits beneath a canopy of jackalberry and sausage trees, overlooking the seasonally flooded Piajio Channel. Set in the heart of the Okavango Delta, its position within the Mombo Concession offers exceptional access to some of Botswana’s richest wildlife country, with elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and rhino all found in the area.
The ten spacious bush pavilions feature four-poster beds, generous ensuite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, private viewing decks and plunge pools. For families or friends travelling together, the 620-square-metre Geoffrey Kent Luxury Suite offers two bedrooms, a private boma, kitchen, secluded decks and a dedicated guide, vehicle, chef, waiter and housekeeper.
The thatched guest area opens onto wide views of the floodplain, with a dining room, bar, lounge, library, swimming pool and wellness studio. Days are shaped around twice-daily game drives, with seasonal mokoro excursions, walking, birdwatching and private bush dinners offering different ways to experience the Delta.
