The spirit of Great Plains Selinda Explorers Camp

Situated in a remote location along the famous Selinda Spillway, Selinda Explorers Camp offers an authentic taste of a classical safari with a modern twist. Set in the shade of the riverine forest, the camp is designed in the style of the early explorers. Each of just four expansive guest tents boasts its own adjoining open-air bathroom with an explorer-themed hot water bucket shower, double vanity and flush porcelain toilet. Each tent overlooks the Selinda Spillway, with roomy hammocks placed on private verandas. Stylishly decorated with campaign-style furniture, crystal decanters and Persian rugs that pay homage to the early era of luxury safari.

Simple, cool and shady, the canvas guest area provides a place to socialise. Meals are cooked in the in house kitchen and served beneath the stars or in the tented dining area. Guided walks and canoe excursions encourage guests to get further in touch with nature, while day and night game drives provide thrilling adventures.
