Travel is a deep passion for me – a love that started at a very young age. Growing up in South Africa, with parents who travelled extensively, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to journey in-and-around South and Southern Africa. It is exactly these experiences that instilled a life-long love affair for the continent I live on, and eventually led me to study tourism, which paved the way to my first job at &Beyond (previously CC Africa) in 1998. You can never get tired of exploring Africa – there is always something to discover!

Favourite destinations
For me, this changes as often as I travel. I am in love with Kenya. I have been to Kenya a few times before, but to share it with the ones closest to me was priceless. The delight and expression on their faces as they too lived this experience and discovery with me recently, will always be close to my heart. Kenya is intriguing in every way and offers a fascinating and diverse experience from the Great Wildebeest Migration to dramatic views of Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya to dreamy white sandy beaches. Diverse national parks and reserves are teeming with interesting wildlife including the Big Five and even the endemic Samburu Special Five. Floating over the Masai Mara in a hot air balloon certainly is worthy of a spot on that bucket list. Kenya’s people are beautiful souls with amazing smiles and such a friendly nature – you will always feel welcome in Kenya.
