Once bitten by the Africa travel bug, you always find yourself needing another fix. My first visit to what is now &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge was in 1994, and in 2012 I joined &Beyond as a Travel Specialist. Sharing my years of African travel experience and helping guests plan meaningful journeys is a dream come true. I love introducing guests to Africa’s wildlife, its vast landscapes and, above all, its people—because that is where the continent’s true magic lives.
Where I’ve been
Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, South Africa, Gambia, Seychelles, Mauritius, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Argentina, Antarctica, the Falklands and South Georgia.
What I travel with
A kikoi, a good book, a sense of humour, lipstick and tea tree oil—which I believe is the cure for almost everything.
Favourite places
My favourite places include Tanzania’s Serengeti, where the endless plains, sweeping vistas and the sheer scale of the Great Migration leave a lasting impression. The Lower Zambezi Valley is another highlight, with its escarpment, mighty river and wooded floodplains offering a wonderful variety of activities, from walking and canoeing to boating, fishing and game drives. And Botswana’s Okavango Delta, with its palm-dotted islands, deep channels and pristine wildlife encounters, is a privilege to experience every time.
