I am a child of Africa and have spent a lifetime living here, exploring this beautiful continent and pursuing my passion of travel by working in the industry. My time is spent getting to know my guests and personalising their often life changing journeys, as well travelling this magnificent continent. Africa leaves an indelible mark on people and I love hearing about their experiences. Working for a company that supports conservation and communities and being part of something greater is incredibly rewarding.
Countries visited
I have travelled extensively in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique and Botswana.
A few things I love travelling with
A light scarf, to either keep the wind or sun at bay, a hat, sunglasses, a book (preferably one written about the bush or of the area I am visiting) and a camera.
Favourite destinations
The Timbavati for its exceptional game, in a quieter part of the Greater Kruger. It is a year-round destination and luckily, I have always had great wild dog and lion sightings and the best sunset drink stops. A bit more off the beaten track is the incredible Selous Private Game Reserve offering a variety of experiences such as boating, fly camping and visits to hot springs. Another highlight is Namibia and its Sossusvlei region for its astounding beauty, open spaces and fantastic photographic opportunities –a very romantic and unique area.
If you only visit two continents in your lifetime, visit Africa twice.
