Milagros joined the &Beyond South America team, as a Country Manager, in April 2018 bringing with her over 35 years’ experience in the travel industry. Born and raised in Peru’s capital city of Lima, she turned her love for travel into a career, and is now passionate about helping others plan their once-in-a-lifetime journeys around South America. Recognising how incredibly inspiring it is to work within tourism, Milagros enjoys the ever-changing travel environment, particularly the new and exciting experiences and ample learning opportunities that come with it.
Having travelled extensively throughout Peru, as well as Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil, Milagros loves tapping into her own personal journeys, as well as wealth of travel partners, to create an array of cultural excursions and adventurous expeditions for guests. Additionally, she enjoys sharing her love for Peru by uniquely customising every trip to suit each guests’ specific interests and expectations, skilfully combining excellent planning and consideration for the environment, into an enriching and immersive experience.
Her favourite place in Peru is the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a spectacular destination with exceptional natural beauty set in a valley in the Andes, north of the Inca capital of Cusco. Here, guests can visit local communities, learn about ancient cultures, relax with meditation sessions, enjoy traditional restaurants, and stay in beautiful hotels boasting breathtaking views.
