After several years as a National Tourism Guide in Ecuador, and after managing sales and operations in several national and international reputable agencies, it was a no brainer that with his in-depth knowledge and expertise, not to mention innate drive for responsible travel, José would become an intricate member of the &Beyond South American team. José is now in charge of the Sales and Operation Department for Ecuador, a destination he is incredibly passionate about.
Brimming with an adventurous spirit, José enjoys hiking through moorland and lagoons, climbing volcanoes, and interacting and engaging with local people from indigenous communities. He is captivated by nature and enjoys watching wildlife, and diving to swim with myriad colourful fish, sea turtles, rays and sharks.
His favourite Ecuadorian destination is the enchanting Galápagos Islands, boasting exquisite natural beauty, a fascinating cultural heritage and a plethora of fascinating wildlife and marine life. Thrilled to be sharing his love for the Galápagos Islands with others, José’s desire is to ignite this delight for Ecuador within guests travelling to this unforgettable destination.
