Originally from India, Vijaya began her professional life practising law before answering a deeper calling. Her journey has since led her from Aman’s revered retreats in India and Cambodia to leadership roles at Four Seasons, Six Senses, Soneva, Kamalaya and Zulal. Along the way, she has earned a reputation for her intuitive care, quiet strength and ability to create deeply personal experiences across Asia and Europe.
Experience shaped by intention
Vijaya’s career in wellness began with hands-on healing at Aman-i-Khás and evolved into senior roles across the region. She managed the spa at Amansara in Cambodia, guided wellness strategy in Indonesia and trained teams in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and the Maldives. She has also consulted in Bhutan and supported seasonal and pre-opening wellness initiatives at some of the world’s most celebrated sanctuaries.
A practice rooted in wholeness
Vijaya believes true healing touches every layer of being: physical, emotional and spiritual. Her lifelong studies include yoga and Reiki mastery, cranio-sacral therapy, sound healing, reconnective healing, breathwork, and life coaching. She continues to deepen her knowledge through global learning and lived experience.
Healing that lingers long after
Known for her rare sensitivity and thoughtful presence, Vijaya gently guides each guest toward their own renewal. Her sessions are entirely personal, often integrating Access Bars, energy work, cranio-sacral therapy, breathwork, sound healing and personal insight sessions. Many guests return year after year, drawn not just to her skills but to the way she makes them feel: seen, safe and subtly transformed.
With a deep respect for every individual’s journey, Vijaya creates spaces for meaningful transformation and lasting wellbeing. Each guest’s time at &Beyond Punakha River Lodge becomes quietly extraordinary.
