Designed to follow the river’s natural bow and echo the rounded forms of a traditional Maasai manyatta, the lodge blends seamlessly with its setting. Warm Kitenge textiles, handwoven details and bold Lake Victoria hues create a space that feels both rooted and refined. Interiors echo the landscape: grey tones reminiscent of hippo hide, stone textures and generous spaces that open fully to the wild. The central circular bar, draped in Kitenge and lit with cascading glass globes, forms the social heart of the lodge, a place to sip something local and watch the river slide by.
The river below the lodge draws a permanent pod of hippo grunting, splashing and dozing in the shallows. Their presence is constant and grounding, a living soundscape that replaces noise with nature. From your Suite, the deck and the pool, you hear the Serengeti breathing.
