Hiking locations are specifically selected and range from short strolls across ice-strewn beaches and technical climbs to the top of lookout points, to longer treks covering several kilometres (miles) over rock and snow, providing you with the opportunity to witness wildlife up-close. Hiking excursions may last from two to three hours, with plenty of time to stand back and admire your incredible polar surroundings, as well as learn more from your experienced guides.
No prior hiking experience is necessary, but a moderate level of fitness is recommended, as guests should be capable of entering and exiting the zodiac, as well as feeling comfortable walking on uneven terrain. Hiking options can be tailored to all interests and fitness levels.
