An extraordinary experience for the whole family is a visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium, showcasing the marine life of both the Indian and Atlantic oceans. This popular showcase exhibits over 350 species.
The kids will be captivated by the octopus, turtles and fragile seahorses that float past and myriad colourful fish that dart through the water. Watch green sea turtles and giant guitarfish from the transparent underwater tunnel at the I&J Ocean Exhibit, meet a rockhopper penguin as they frolic in the water at the Penguin Exhibit, and enjoy a puppet show in the auditorium.
The young and young at heart will also love the Jelly Gallery, abundant with blobs of jelly fish and the Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Exhibit where you can come face-to-face with ragged-tooth sharks.
Meet the rockhopper penguins
Get up close and personal with the adorable northern rockhopper penguins of the Two Oceans Aquarium with their awesome, educational and interactive Penguin Experience! Join the bird keeper for an informative and fun face-to-face experience with these feathered friends. The rockhopper penguins at the Two Oceans Aquarium were found stranded on southern Cape beaches and were rehabilitated by the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) before being donated. They cannot be released because of the risk of introducing diseases into wild populations. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
