This baby elephant and its mother were part of a bigger herd that had made its way down towards the Gomoti River to drink and cool off in the mid morning heat. After drinking, part of the herd started to move towards a taller patch of grass to feed. With the mother elephant crossing through the river channel with ease, the baby elephant had to catch up as it made its way through the river channel that was almost as deep as the baby was tall. After crossing the river and catching up to its mother, the two elephants continued to feed through the grassy patch.
