Dense with competing predators with a superior build, like lion and leopard, the area abutting the Sand River is not an ideal location to seek out the shy cheetah that would prefer to avoid these enemies. Yet they do still come for the odd intermittent visit and it is a delight to encounter them in all their sleek, speed-specialised glory.
