Survival of the fittest
On our first morning at Kirkmans’ Kamp, we were finishing up some Mocha Choca Rulas when our ranger got the call that some feeding lions were nearby. As we approached, we could tell two male lions had made a kill and one was now feeding, but it wasn’t until we parked and took out our binoculars that we realized he was feeding on another lion. These two lions were from a coalition of six males that had recently entered Sabi Sand from Kruger and had killed several lions from the local pride.
