Little Ruckomechi’s scenic location epitomises Mana Pools National Park in all its abundance, and this exclusive camp is all about the intimacy of being close to nature and among the iconic albida trees that characterise the area. Its prime location within the private Ruckomechi Concession ensures guests of an exclusive safari experience complete with a diverse range of activities through which to explore the environment.
Built on wooden decks, the sophisticated en-suite tents are airy and elegant, reminiscent of a by-gone explorer era. While the living spaces include a dining room and lounge as well as a plunge pool, all looking out over the great Zambezi River and the Zambian foothills in the distance.
Guests can enjoy game drives early in the morning or late afternoon in seven-seater Land Rovers, as well as cruises down the Zambezi River in a nine-seater pontoon or a six-seater speed boat. For the more adventurous, canoes are a great way to see the large numbers of water birds and other wildlife that are attracted to the river and seasonal pans.
