Sprawled on the banks of the majestic Zambezi River, in close proximity to the lower Zambezi National Park, sits the magnificent Zambezi Grande. Recognised as a small, family-owned game lodge, Zambezi Grande specialises in bespoke authentic and elegant safari escapes, with a luxurious flair.
Featuring 10 well-appointed and spacious rooms (catering for a maximum of 20 guests), choose between five free-standing Superior Suites and five Luxury Rooms. While each room is equipped with air conditioning, overhead fans, an indoor shower, in-room safe and fully-stocked mini bar, plus a few other usual comforts, only the lodge’s Superior Suites come standard with a bath, outdoor shower and separate W.C., making for an even more exclusive experience. Two interleading Luxury Rooms are available for families*, plus a private 4×4 safari and river safari. Subject to availability.
Hop on an open safari vehicle and revel in twice daily game drives observing the park’s incredible bird and wildlife on display, including lion, elephant, leopard, African wild dog, and buffalo. The bird viewing in this region is also spectacular, offering avid birders an awe-inspiring and varied offering. For more intimate bush encounters, a guided walking safari encourages all to learn about the majestic creatures that roam free, big and small, plus the incredible flora. Relax on a sundowner cruise, gliding across the renowned Zambezi River on a river safari, observing game from a completely different perspective or enjoy a cultural village visit to one of the many local communities in the area witnessing Zambezi Grande’s outreach programs and conservation initiatives first-hand.
