Minutes from the entrance to Etosha National Park, The Mushara Outpost accommodates 16 guests in custom made tents designed using wood and canvas, which nestle on the banks of an ancient dry river bed. Each tent is set on a wooden deck raised above the ground, offering a different perspective of the surrounding bush. A large glass sliding door leads inside and vast glass windows from ceiling to floor open up to the landscape outside. Furnishings are minimal and comfortable, and the tranquillity of the bush is ever-present.
The main lodge area is styled on an old farmhouse, with tall walls, a corrugated iron roof and a large wrap-around veranda. The ambiance is that of a well lived in house – friendly and extremely comfortable.
What we love about The Mushara Outpost
- Unzip the canvas side walls of the shower as far as you are comfortable with and enjoy your ablutions with a magnificent view of the landscape outside.
- Grab a pair of binoculars and a bird book and spend some time enjoying the magnificent view from the lodge’s beautifully constructed hide.
- Enjoy a glass of wine or two around the roaring campfire before dinner.
