The Mushara Outpost brings an easy sense of hospitality to the edge of Etosha. Set just minutes from the park entrance, it offers a quiet base for wildlife days, with wood-and-canvas tents raised above the ground and positioned to look out over the surrounding bush.
Each custom-made tent sits on its own wooden deck, with large glass sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling windows that draw the landscape in. Furnishings are minimal and comfortable, allowing the stillness of the bush to remain the focus. In the shower, canvas side walls can be unzipped to bring in as much of the view as you choose.
The main lodge is styled like an old farmhouse, with tall walls, a corrugated iron roof and a generous wrap-around veranda. It feels lived-in, welcoming and relaxed. Days are shaped around Etosha’s wildlife, while time in camp is best spent in the hide with binoculars, on the veranda, or beside the fire with a glass of wine before dinner.
