Bakwena Lodge is an intimate, privately owned eco-lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. Built around both ecological and traditional African principles, the Lodge offers 15 beautiful, individual chalets. Designed and decorated in a manner befitting the environment, they offer a cool and comfortable escape. An idyllic retreat for honeymooners, who can expect to be luxuriously pampered here, families are also very much welcomed to delight in this lush sanctuary. Guests can choose from two room types. The River View Chalets are nestled in an indigenous riverine forest, overlooking the magnificent Chobe River and features a lovely ensuite bathroom and a private veranda. Whilst the ensuite Treetop Chalets are elevated on stilts and wrapped in a tree canopy, offering a tranquil “treehouse” oasis in the heart of the African bush.
Activities are focused on land and water based safaris such as game drives and boat cruises. A host of other activities are also on offer from guided village and bicycle tours or even a sundowner cruise to the meeting place of four countries, (the only one in the world). Bakwenas’ excellent guides will endeavour to make your stay in Chobe a highlight of any safari.
