Thirty years with &Beyond and Africa still takes my breath away every single day. I have been extraordinarily fortunate to travel deeply and widely across this magnificent continent, and my love for its wildlife, its landscapes and above all, its People, only grows stronger with time. As we sit down together and begin crafting your dream journey, you will find that three decades of stories, insights and hands on knowledge will flow naturally into every conversation, shaping an itinerary for you that is both personal and extraordinary.
Where I’ve been
Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Pemba, Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Uganda.
What I travel with
My camera and binoculars (non-negotiable!), Autan mozzie repellant, lip balm and my beloved Mnemba Island kikoj and sunglasses.
Favourite places
My favourite places include Tanzania and &Beyond Mnemba Island, which I was fortunate enough to call home for eleven unforgettable years while managing Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Grumeti and Mnemba Island. Tanzania’s vast Serengeti plains, the spectacle of the Great Migration and the warmth of its people continue to captivate me. Mnemba Island remains pure barefoot paradise – from its white coral beaches and turquoise waters to whale sharks, nesting turtles and the rare Adder’s duikers, a species I helped introduce to the island. I also love Mozambique for its gentle seas, pristine reefs and wonderfully welcoming people, Uganda for the life-changing privilege of sitting with mountain gorillas, and Londolozi in the Sabi Sands, where my love affair with Africa truly began through unforgettable leopard encounters.
Africa has given me thirty of the most beautiful years of my life, and I pour every one of them into creating journeys that will stay with you forever. I cannot wait to start planning yours.
