Andrew will be hosting our World Rhino Day guest panel. As a man who has spent the past 25 years working to advance conservation in Africa, he has first-hand experience of all aspects of protected area management.
His career path has been driven by a firm conviction that enduring conservation solutions require the involvement and empowerment of local communities as nature’s ultimate stewards. He believes firmly that conservation can, and must, be part of the solution to Africa’s development agenda.
With specific reference to the premise that “it takes a village to save a rhino”, Andrew’s response was that solving rhino poaching requires a whole-of-society approach and that no single entity can do it alone.
