Education

Shaping the futures of Africa’s rural children through Education initiatives

A primary focus for Africa Foundation is to provide educational initiatives for the children of rural communities neighbouring &Beyond’s areas of operation in Africa.

These community-driven projects support the needs of every age group – from the little ones still to start school, all the way through Primary and High School and beyond, to include tertiary education.

In addition to dedicated educational programmes like our CLEF (Community Leaders Education Foundation) tertiary education bursary programme and interactive Conservation Lessons, other projects support the communities’ identified needs for fundamental schooling infrastructure, such as:

  • Construction of crèches and pre-schools
  • New / renovated school classrooms
  • Addition of school offices, teacher’s accommodation, day care centres, media rooms, dormitories, kitchen and dining hall amenities and ablution facilities
  • Desks, dormitory beds and mattresses and playground equipment
  • Fencing and security
