The travel bug bit me during my childhood years, when my parents would take me on holidays along the Garden Route and into the world-famous Kruger National Park. This continued when I met my husband and together we have travelled extensively. I jump on any opportunity to explore our wonderful continent and experience iconic landmarks, different cultures, awesome food, bonding with my friends, family, guests and captivating African safari adventures. These factors have continually cultivated my love affair with Africa and inspired me to become a Travel Specialist for &Beyond.

Favourite destinations
Kenya is a country defined by its people and the Kenyans are enchantingly friendly. The warm Jambo (greetings) around every corner, goes a long way in making Kenya a welcoming destination to all who visit. Another highlight is safari experiences in Botswana. With one of the richest wildlife densities in Africa, this special place is particularly well-known for its large elephant population. Here you can enjoy game viewing by open safari vehicle and mekoro (dugout canoe). If you are after fun times with friendly people, Cape Town, with its dazzling spirit, is the place to be.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
