WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT ZIMBABWE?
Zimbabwe is an excellent year-round destination. However, there are certain seasons for special interest groups to take note of. For high adventure enthusiasts, white water rafting is most exciting when the Zambezi waters are low, generally from August to December. The best months to visit the famous Vumba Botanical Gardens are December to May, when the vegetation is lush and green, and most plants are in flower.
IS ZIMBABWE A FAMILY DESTINATION?
Zimbabwe is a terrific holiday destination with activities for the whole family. Victoria Falls and Lake Kariba are ideal for families. as there is something for everyone. Seeing the Falls is a must and the village of Victoria Falls offers a wonderful array of activities, from the milder pleasures of shopping and fine dining to heart-stopping thrills like bungee jumping and white water rafting.
WHAT LANGUAGES ARE SPOKEN IN ZIMBABWE?
The official language of Zimbabwe is English. Other languages spoken include Ndebele and Shona.
DO I NEED A VISA TO TRAVEL TO ZIMBABWE?
Please check with your nearest Zimbabwean consulate, as visa requirements do change from time to time. All multiple entry visas (i.e. entering Zimbabwe more than two times on any itinerary) require prior application. A single entry visa is valid for six months, a double entry visa is valid for three months, and multiple entry visas are valid for six months and are only issued in Harare. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the intended length of stay. Please ensure that there are sufficient blank pages for any visas, as well as for entry stamps upon arrival.
HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I TAKE?
If you are going on safari, remember that packing space is limited on all modes of safari transport so you will need to restrict your luggage to 10-12kg (22 - 26lb), packed in a soft bag, plus a reasonable amount of camera equipment.
SHOULD I TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE BEFORE TRAVELLING TO ZIMBABWE?
