Eagle Island Camp

Eagle Island Camp

An elegant Botswana tented water camp

  • 12 thatched, air conditioned safari tents
  • Game viewing by traditional mokoro (dugout canoe)
  • Sensational birdwatching  - over 400 species
  • Guided fishing adventures, canoes, motorboats and walking trails

Eagle Island Camp is situated under a canopy of tall indigenous trees on Xaxaba Island. Spacious, thatched tents provide guests with ensuite accommodation, air conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito net canopies, as well as personal bars. A raised viewing platform with a hammock and comfy chairs allows guests to relax and take in the awe-inspiring views of the Okavango Delta and its abundant birdlife. The guest areas consist of a sitting room, bar and dining area, all of which are under thatch and open-fronted. The camp also boasts a swimming pool - perfect for a cool dip after a day's safari.

Adventures on offer include game viewing by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), excursions in small motorboats and walking trails. Game drives are also available during the low-water period. Guided catch-and-release fishing trips around Bora Channel can be arranged, while avian enthusiasts have the opportunity to discover over 400 bird species!
